1. Aurelia aurita = moon jelly (Aurelia aurita)
The common jellyfish, moon jellyfish, moon jelly, or saucer jelly (Aurelia aurita) is a widely studied species of the genus Aurelia. The moon jellyfish is translucent and can be recognized by its four horseshoe-shaped gonads, easily seen through the top of the bell. Aurelia aurita is found along the eastern Atlantic coast of Northern Europe and the western Atlantic coast of North America.

The compass jellyfish (Chrysaora hysoscella) is a very common species of jellyfish that lives in coastal waters of the Atlantic and Mediterranean, including near the United Kingdom, Ireland and Turkey. It is found in the northeast Atlantic, and in the Adriatic, Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea and Sea of Azov. It is also known from the southern Atlantic off the western South African coast and into False Bay.
5. Lucernaria pyramidalis = stalked jellyfish (Lucernaria quadricornis)
The stalked jellyfish (Lucernaria quadricornis) is a jellyfish species in the Lucernariidae family. It can move by moving its stalk or even release the stalk and walk on its "hands". This species is registered in the Arctic and the North Atlantic and North Pacific Ocean. |
