Dark-eared tree frog (Polypedates macrotis)
The dark-eared tree frog (Polypedates macrotis) is a medium-sized tree frog known for a distinctive dark brown stripe running from the back of the eye, across the tympanum, and along the side of its body. It has a robust body, typically mottled brown or greyish-brown dorsal coloration, and a pale underside. Adult frogs range in size from about 60 mm in males to 85 mm in females, and they inhabit primary and secondary lowland forests, breeding in stagnant or slow-moving water by building foam nests. |
