The umbrella squid (Histioteuthis bonnellii) is a species of cock-eyed squid. H. bonnellii is one of the larger species in its genus, reaching 33 cm in mantle length. It is distributed mostly in the Atlantic Ocean. It can be found off the coast of Argentina, South Africa, and the Tasman Sea.
The long-armed squid (Chiroteuthis veranyi) is a species of chiroteuthid squid. The type specimen was collected in the Mediterranean Sea by Jean Baptiste Vérany and is deposited at the Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle (Musée Barla) in Nice, France.
Pinnoctopus cordiformis is a species of octopus found around the coasts of New Zealand.
The common octopus (Octopus vulgaris) is a mollusc belonging to the faimily Octopodidae. Octopus vulgaris is found in the eastern Atlantic extends from the Mediterranean Sea and the southern coast of England to at least Senegal in Africa. It also occurs off the Azores, Canary Islands, and Cape Verde Islands. The species is also common in the Western Atlantic. |
