Oriolidae is a family of colourful Old World passerine birds. It is not related to the New World orioles, which are Icterids, family Icteridae.
The orioles are a mainly tropical Old World group, although one species breeds in more temperate regions. The family comprises the Figbird Sphecotheres viridis, the only member of the genus Sphecotheres, and the Old World orioles in the genus Oriolus.
