Smoothskin octopus (Muusoctopus leioderma)

The smoothskin octopus, scientifically known as Muusoctopus leioderma, is characterized by its smooth, untextured orange skin, lacking the raised papillae found in some other octopus species. It also features a distinctive, raised skin fold around the mantle's edge, called a keel, which may aid in burrowing. This species is relatively small, reaching up to 60 cm in total length and 3 kg in weight.
