The gemsbok or gemsbuck (Oryx gazella) is a large antelope in the Oryx genus. It is native to the arid regions of Southern Africa, such as the Kalahari Desert. The name "gemsbok" in English is derived from Afrikaans gemsbok.
The helmeted guineafowl (Numida meleagris) is the best known of the guineafowl bird family, Numididae, and the only member of the genus Numida. It is native to Africa, mainly south of the Sahara. The Damara helmeted guineafowl (Numida meleagris papillosus) is a subspecies of helmeted guineafowl and is found in southern Angola to Botswana and Namibia.
