Little tunny (Euthynnus alletteratus)
The little tunny of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean is a popular gamefish, occurring in large schools close to the shore. It is very similar to the skipjack tuna and the other species of Euthynnus found in the Pacific, and grows to a maximum of about 12 kg (26 lb); most of those caught are, however, much smaller. |
