Mongoose lemur (Eulemur mongoz)
The nectar-eating mongoose lemur, like the closely-related common brown lemur, can be found in Madagascar and the Comoro Islands off its northwest coast. Both species were probably taken to the smaller islands by the original settlers, and the lemurs are now threatened by loss of habitat. |
