Morelia spilota cheynei, or the jungle carpet python, is a carpet python subspecies found in the rainforests of Queensland, Australia. The specific name, cheynei, is in honor of Cheyne Wellington. The type locality given is "Ravenshoe, on the Atheron Tableland, north Queensland.
