One of the other guests in the aviary told me a peacock was at the top of the stairs.
I climbed to the top of the stairs and lo and behold, there he was, admiring his reflection in the glass door.
He seemed pretty oblivious to my presence and strutted right past me and walked down the stairs.
The most surprising thing that happened in the aviary involved this bird.
I was photographing the pygmy geese when I heard a massive fluttering.
