Description： Body length is about 14 cm. Male: back and face is grayish-blue, eyebrow is white, lesser coverts, rump, uppertail coverts are dark blue. Belly is primarily white, sides of breast and flank are orange-yellow. Female: back and face are primarily olive-brown, around eyes are white. Throat is white in the center and olive-brown on the sides; upper-breast is light olive-brown, flank is orange-yellow, center of belly to undertail coverts are white.
Habits： Red-flanker Bluetail is a winter migrating bird in Taiwan. It usually appears alone in open fields around edges of forests at mid and low altitudes. It often swings its tail when rests.
Range： It mainly nests in open fields around edges of forests at mid and low altitudes.
