Hi,
I hate to keep bugging you about misidentifications, but I believe the
animals shown in the photo noted above are a race of the Sika deer (Cervus
nippon), and not whitetail deer. Exotics like this are kept on hunting
preserves in Texas and I suspect that's where the photo came from.
