Florida manatees may live to be more than 28 years old in the wild, and one captive manatee, "Snooty", has lived for over 60 years. Order:	Sirenia, Family:	Trichechidae, Genus:	Trichechus, Species:	Trichechus manatus, Subspecies:	Trichechus manatus latirostris (Harlan, 1824).
