Tibetan gazelle (Procapra picticaudata)
The Tibetan gazelle, also known as the goa, is a small, slender antelope with a sandy to grayish-brown coat that is greyer in summer. It is distinguished by a large, heart-shaped white rump patch, short black-tipped tail and thin, ridged horns in males. These gazelles inhabit the open plains, hills and mountains of the Tibetan Plateau, standing about 54–65 cm at the shoulder and weighing 13–35 kg. |
