Sunda flying fox (Acerodon mackloti)
The Sunda flying fox is one of the largest bat species, with a wingspan that can reach up to 1.5 metres (5 feet) and a body length of about 30 to 40 centimetres (12 to 16 inches). Its fur is predominantly dark brown to black, with some individuals exhibiting lighter-coloured patches. Notable features include its large eyes and distinctive long snout, which aids in foraging for fruits. |
