A view of the sand bars at the entrance to the harbor formed by the caldera at St. Paul Island. In the foreground is a colony identified as Eudyptes chrysolophus (macaroni penguin) although it is probable that they were in fact Eudyptes crestata, rockhopper penguins. P. 304.
