Adult Golden Lion Tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia) photographed at Jersey
Zoo. This picture was scanned from an old slide. It needed quite a bit of
Photoshopping - which may be obvious to a critical eye - but I still like
it. For personal/educational only.

Native to the humid coastal forests of Brazil, the Golden Lion Tamarin is an endangered species and among the rarest animals in the world, with an estimated wild population of 1,000 individuals and a captive population of approximately 500. |
