HUNTING
OWLS ARE APADTED for hunting at night. They have large, forward-facing eyes that give them binocular vision. The owl's flight feathers have fringed edges to muffle their sound as it attacks its prey. The powerful hooked bill is used together with talons to capture and hold prey.
BARN OWL
Heart-shaped face.
This bird feeds at night mainly on small rodents.

Most of the space in an owl's skull is taken up by its eyes.
