Pallas's (Great Black-headed) Gull
Larus ichthyaetus **
Large and attractive black-headed adults were along the shores of Qinghai
Lake (up to 100/day). Some frequented the edges of the gull colony at Bird
Island; others foraged in the mouths of freshwater streams into Qinghai
Lake. Almost all seen were full adults.
