Looks like some kind of Cichlid
(if it was a fresh water fish at all)
I can give no further identification,
you might ask a question in
one of the aquaria newsgroups
with a reference to your post.
(Or go back to the aquarium,
although in my experience the fish in the tanks
often have little relation with the
name-plates besides them)

Another great photo! It's a male Herichthys cyanoguttatus, found
in Texas and northern part of Mexico. Its a cichlid, a member of
a very large family of which many familiar aquarium fishes (oscars,
angelfish, discus) and table fish (Tilapia) are also members.
Cyanoguttatus is the only member of the cichlid family found
naturally in the United States.
