In the Iberian Peninsula the asp is found in the northeast of Spain; it occupies the entire Pyrenees and the pre-Pyrenees, reaching the province of Burgos and the north of Soria to the west. In the rest of Europe it is distributed more or less continuously through France, Italy, Switzerland and the extreme southwest of Germany. |
