Size: 35-50cm
Habitat: Distributed throughout Australia this bird has the reputation of being the fastest animal on earth. Reaching speeds of 250km per hour when stooping at prey, found in most land types this bird preys mostly on other birds, particularly pigeons.
Notes: Head and cheeks black, wings grey, throat white, chest and belly light brown with stripes, legs and feet yellow. Breeds Winter-Spring.
