Bonin Petrels
One day while we were doing routine maintenance on the Bonin boxes we opened one up and a pair were inside. Very early prospectors! I unslung my camera to get a few photographs before leaving them be. Like many prospecting petrels they will hang out in their sites for several months before breeding.
Tern Island, Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.
