Caspian Tern
Size: 50-56cm
Habitat: Located Australia wide, this is the largest of all terns, frequents coastal and inland water courses, islands and rivers. Often sighted patrolling waterways with head pointed down in search of small fish. Dives at prey from a great height.
Notes: White bird with bright red bill and black cap, wings grey on top. Breeds variably.
