Proboscis monkey
Proboscis monkey, large monkey, primarily of swamp regions in Borneo, with a protruding nose that is upturned in young monkeys and long and pendulous in older males. They are gregarious, day-active herbivores that swim and dive freely. Length: 73–76 cm (males); 54–64 cm (females). Family Cercopithecidae; species Nasalis larvatus. |
