The Australian snubfin dolphin (Orcaella heinsohni) is a rare, shy marine mammal endemic to northern Australia and Papua New Guinea. Identified as a distinct species in 2005, it is instantly recognizable by its blunt, beakless head, tri-coloured body and small, rounded "snubby" dorsal fin. |
