The lumpsucker or lumpfish (Cyclopterus lumpus) is a species of marine fish in the family Cyclopteridae (lumpsuckers). It is found in the North Atlantic and adjacent parts of the Arctic Ocean, ranging as far south as Chesapeake Bay on the North American coast and Spain on the European coast.

The sea stickleback (Spinachia spinachia), also known as fifteen-spined or fifteenspine stickleback, is a species of stickleback which lives in benthopelagic and in brackish environments of the northeastern Atlantic Ocean.

The great sand eel (Hyperoplus lanceolatus) is the greater species of sand eel. The maximum sixe is 35 cm. The great sand eel is native to the eastern North Atlantic.

The lesser sand eel or sand lance (Ammodytes tobianus) is a species of fish in the sand lance family Ammodytidae. It is an elongated cylindrical fish which may be up to 20 centimetres long.

The snake pipefish (Entelurus aequoreus) is a species of pipefish native to the northeastern Atlantic Ocean where they are generally found amongst algae close in to shore.

The shorthorn sculpin (Myoxocephalus scorpius), also known variously as the short-spined sea scorpion, bull-head, bull-rout and the father-lasher, is a demersal fish of the Northern Atlantic and adjacent subarctic coasts, and of the Arctic including the coasts of Alaska and Siberia.

The hooknose (Agonus cataphractus), also known as the pogge or armed bullhead, is a species of fish in the Agonidae family, close to the scorpion fish. The species is found in the coastal seas of Norway, the British Isles, the Faeroes and the North Sea.

The rock gunnel or butterfish (Pholis gunnellus) is an eel-like fish found in the intertidal and subtidal zones of the North Atlantic. It is one of two species of gunnel native to the Atlantic Ocean, the other being the banded gunnel. The rock gunnel is capable of remaining above the waterline at low tide and breathing
