Another misexposed pic saved by the Coolscan - Kodiak Bear in Nindorf Animal Park

Hi again,
here is one more pic that looks comparatively harmless at first view.
The truth is that the rest of the negative (cropped in the part you're
looking at) was submerged in sunlight which completely fooled the camera
measurement and led to a grossly underexposed pic. You can guess from
the right upper quarter of the pic (sunk into reddish) that the Coolscan
had a tough job in getting this back to usability. However, I don't
think any photo lab would have gotten a result even close to what
negative scanning (plus some post-scan processing) made of it.
Greetings again -
Ralf

The Kodiak bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi) is a subspecies of the brown bear. Kodiak bears live exclusively on the islands in the Kodiak Archipelago and have been isolated from other bears for about 12,000 years. |
