Yellow-throated flycatcher in Suriname

 Yellow-throated Flycatcher (White-ringed
 flycatcher)

Photo of a yellow-throated flycatcher, made by Foek Chin Joe
in Suriname. Often seen sitting high on small twigs, like in the
photo, looking around for flying insects. It has a loud call,
that is often heard in savannas. Can be distinguished by its
 yellow throat from the
 rusty-margined
 flycatcher
 . This is a
 sound of
 the Yellow-ringed flycatcher
, recorded by Otte Ottema at
 Phedra in Suriname.
Each small square indicates the observation of at least one
(group) of these birds, the medium ones at least 4 observations
on different days and the largest ones 10 or more. The color of
each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow for savanna
 and red for rainforest.
