Actually I think they are neither
They do not look familiar to me
They seem to be soft-bodied, which excludes most mollusks
(except nudibranchs and squid)
They do not look like any jellyfish I know,
they are not transparent nor very symmetrical.
They could be polychaete worms (my best guess)
or maybe tunicates or eggs of some animal.
I wonder if the orange strings also belong with
this species.
Did you made this photograph and if so,
did you see these animals often or just this occasion
Were they swept ashore or do they live in the sand
and were they still alive?
(Any info may help)
On a little search I encountered this site,
where they might answer your question
http://database.mbl.edu/SPECIMENS/phylum.taf?function=3Dform&page=3D2
I found two animals there having some similarities with your
mystery mollusks attached here.
