The fimbriated moray, Gymnothorax fimbriatus, is a moray eel of the family Muraenidae, found in the Indo-Pacific oceans, around reefs, harbours and small caves, at depths down to 45 meters.
It is pale green-yellow in color with black spots on its face and can reach a max length of 80 cm.
It feeds mainly on fish and crustaceans.

The fimbriated moray eel (Gymnothorax fimbriatus), also referred to as the dark-spotted moray or spot-face moray, belongs to the family Muraenidae. The fimbriated moray is a medium-sized moray eel, capable of reaching a maximum length of 80 cm. Its serpentine body features a white cream to light brown background color adorned with numerous black spots. This moray eel is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific area, primarily found on the coastal reefs of oceanic islands. Its habitat ranges from Madagascar to Polynesia and extends from south Japan to New Caledonia.
