Habitat: Distributed through out inland Australia, the Zebra finch frequents most types of open country, feeding on Insects and grass seeds.
Notes: Male: Grey head, orange cheek patch orange bill, red eye and black tear mark. Black thin barring on throat and breast, white spotted chestnut flanks, whitish underbelly with black and white barred tail. Female: Lacks cheek, throat and flank markings. Breeds variably.
