resident in southeast and central China but also occur in Taiwan and
occasionally
seen in western Japan. It is similar to the Great Mynah but has a
shorter crest. This is a popular caged bird in China and
has been introduced in Penang, Singapore, Manila, Japan, Argentina,

closely
over the last few years by many, as the numbers have been dwindling.
The
last two known Crested mynahs living in the wild in Vancouver are
thought
to have died mid February of 2003. It was reported in the
Vancouver

avoiding
woodland and mountains, these mynahs frequently settle on or around
domestic
animals, catching insects disturbed by their movements. }} |
