Rainbow lorikeet (Trichoglossus moluccanus)
Rainbow lorikeets are found in many parts of Australia. Their beaks and tongues are designed for eating nectar and pollen, but the birds also feed on soft fruit and flowers. Lorikeets search for blossoms which they locate by sight and by the screeching of birds already feeding. |
