S.Fla.Mole Kingsnake (L. c. occipitolineata)
Only described to science since 1987 from several counties in central and south Fla. This specimen's mother was wild-caught while crossing a dirt road just south of Arcadia, Florida. The mother was also gravid (pregnant) at the time, and later went on to have eggs... From which THIS snake was hatched!. |
