Northern right-whale dolphin
Found in the north Pacific, from Japan and Russia in the west to Canada and the US in the east. Unep says it has "experienced very high levels of fishery-induced mortality", with 15,000-24,000 accidentally killed each year in the late 1980s by boats looking for squid.
