Another birdie from Kruezen Animal Park - White peacock bragging just a bit :-)
Hi again,
here's another white peacock from the "absolutely wanted to be photographed"
section. As the previous one, I took his picture in Kruezen Animal Park
in June 1999. Another bird with more color on it is just being scanned;
stay tuned for more if you like technicolor birds.

The Indian peafowl or blue peafowl (Pavo cristatus), a large and brightly coloured bird, is a species of peafowl native to South Asia, but introduced in many other parts of the world. The male, or peacock, is predominantly blue with a fan-like crest of spatula-tipped wire-like feathers and is best known for the long train made up of elongated upper-tail covert feathers which bear colourful eyespots. These stiff feathers are raised into a fan and quivered in a display during courtship.

| I just knowtisd that no one has talked about this picture soooooo here I go, it is cute, like no other bird I have ever seen, and I bet that in mating season, it gets really anoining to listen to. thats all I have to say, caz every other peacoc screams help allot in mating season. |
