Can you ID this bird
This little fellow was building his nest _upside down_ at the
very end of a bobbing tree twig. He or she would disappear
up inside the nest and peek out from time to time and then
come out and collect items to add to it. He or she would also
perch on limbs next to the nest.
I forgot to see what kind of bird it was. Taken yesterday at
the Reid Park Zoo's new aviary.

It is a species of weaver, but there are many similar species
that I can not identify quickly or at all.
Weavers come from Africa (most species) and Asia
our common house-sparrow is a close relative.

Maybe a Slender-billed Weaver (Ploceus pelzelni)? |

I think it is a Cape weaver (from the Cape area in South Africa) .
I just come back from there and was told that is what they are called. They are identified at the bird sanctuary called Birds of Eden (www.birdsofeden.co.za)
