Pampas foxes often make their dens in the burrows of viscachas and armadillos. Though they are mainly nocturnal animals, some pampas foxes are active during the day, when they search the grasslands for carrion and live prey such as rodents and frogs. the animals have the unusual habit of remaining motionless when humans approach. |
