Estuarine crocodile (Crocodylus porosus)
The saltwater or estuarine crocodile of southern India, Indonesia, the Philippines and other islands of the southwest Pacific lives mostly along the coast, both in brackish estuaries and in the sea. The largest of the crocodiles, it grows to over eight metres in length; the world record holder measured 8.63m long and weighed over two tonnes. |
