The Jersey tiger moth (Euplagia quadripunctaria) is a day-flying moth of the family Erebidae. Euplagia quadripunctaria is widely distributed in Europe from Estonia and Latvia in the north to the Mediterranean coast and islands in the south. It is also found in West Russia, South Urals, Asia Minor, Rhodes and nearby islands, the Near East, Caucasus, South Turkmenistan, and Iran.
The scarlet tiger moth (Callimorpha dominula, formerly Panaxia dominula) is a colorful moth belonging to the tiger moth subfamily, Arctiinae. This species is present in most of Europe and in the Near East (Turkey, Transcaucasus and northern Iran). |
