Crucifix toad (Notaden bennetti)
The crucifix toad is a small, stout Australian frog (Notaden bennettii) with a bright yellow back, a cross-shaped pattern of red, black and white spots and a white belly. It lives in burrows, has short limbs for digging and can secrete a sticky, glue-like substance from its skin when threatened. |
