The Blue Bunting (Cyanocompsa parellina)
is essentially a resident of parts of Mexico and Northern Central America. The species occasionally strays north into south Texas, usually in the winter. The two shots of a male shown here were taken in southern Tamaulipas, Mexico, in May, 2007, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender. |
